We would like to offer a warm welcome to Andrew Wright who joined Storelectric as a non-executive director last month. Andrew will be consulting on the low carbon energy system transition and the economic regulation of utilities.
Andrew brings a unique blend of industry, commercial, financial, regulatory and policy experience to the company. His expertise is a huge asset and we look forward to sharing more about his work with Storelectric in the coming months.
Previously, Andrew was Senior Partner and board member at the electricity and gas markets regulator, Ofgem, including a period as interim CEO. Most recently, Andrew led Ofgem’s Energy Systems division, ensuring regulation adapted smoothly to new developments in the industry.
Before joining Ofgem, Andrew worked as an equity analyst responsible for covering the UK utility sector for several major investment banks, including, most recently, UBS.
Andrew is also Professor in Practice at Durham University where he works with the Durham Energy Institute.
