On 26th November, Storelectric attended the Hydrogen Industry Leaders Scotland conference and exhibition 2024, which brought together around 200 delegates held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
HIL Scotland was an insightful and engaging day discussing some fantastic hydrogen solutions. The conference opened with an address from the Head of Hydrogen Policy for the Scottish Government, Stuart McKay. He discussed the progress of hydrogen projects in Scotland, with a focus on Hydrogen Allocation Round 1 (HAR1), the first phase of Scotland’s Net Zero Hydrogen funding.
Key industry figures, such as INEOS and ScottishPower, also shared updates on their green hydrogen initiatives, while organisations like the Net Zero Technology Centre explored the opportunities and challenges of using hydrogen domestically and exporting it to North West Europe.
Hydrogen Industry Leaders Scotland provided a great platform for engaging discussions and collaboration with industry experts. We look forward to seeing continued innovation in Scotland’s growing hydrogen economy as the sector evolves.
